Election results announced for WA State Labor Council officers
SEATTLE (Dec. 8, 2014) — The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, the state’s largest union organization representing the interests of some 400,000 rank-and-file members across the state, announced on Monday the election winners who will be sworn in as WSLC officers in February 2015 to serve 4-year terms on the council’s Executive Board.
Per the WSLC Constitution, the officers who comprise the WSLC Executive Board are elected by affiliated members every four years. The elected officers are the President, the Secretary-Treasurer and the Vice Presidents, who represent various districts of the state and constituency groups. This board meets quarterly and establishes the WSLC’s policies and programs in between annual conventions.

The 2014 Tellers who counted the WSLC officers’ ballots last week were, from left Bill Bauder of NALC 442, DeFrance Clark of WFSE 443, Gary Swartz of IAM 86, and Michele Stelovich of WFSE 1060.
