WSLC hosting naturalization clinic Aug. 28
Union members and family seeking citizenship must schedule an appointment for event in Sunnyside, via Zoom
YAKIMA — The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO will host a naturalization clinic for union members and immediate family who are legal permanent residents eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., both virtually via Zoom and in-person at Nuestra Casa, 906 E. Edison Ave. in Sunnyside. Union members and their immediate relatives will be provided legal counsel in completing their application for citizenship (Form N-400).
The WSLC offers this naturalization legal services program through Dulce Gutiérrez, the WSLC’s Union, Community & Naturalization Organizer based in the Yakima Valley, who is certified to provide these critical legal aid services.
With limited spots available for the Aug. 28 clinic, participants must register in advance and secure an appointment. If you would like to register for an appointment or have questions, email Dulce Gutiérrez at DGutierrez@wslc.org or call 509-833-3096 by noon on Aug. 26.
The naturalization application fee for Form N-400 is $725, payable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In addition, the service fee for the Aug. 28 clinic is $50, payable to the WSLC’s partnering organization, Nuestra Casa. If needed, a sliding-scale fee is available for the service.
