WSLC pre-holiday post-election luncheon Nov. 7

SEATTLE — The officers and staff of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO invite all union members, staff and officers to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season — and the conclusion of the 2013 election — on Thursday, November 7 at the WSLC’s annual luncheon at the Catholic Seafarer’s Club, 2330 1st. Ave. in downtown Seattle.

This year’s theme is deepening and broadening our labor movement through developing strong community partnerships. Come join WSLC affiliates and community allies and celebrate the work we do together. The Entire Staff of The Stand™ will be in attendance and will answer all of your questions about your favorite online news site… if we are familiar with it.

In addition to the great food and friendly faces, the WSLC hopes to have a wonderful assortment of items for the always-popular raffle. Gift certificates from unionized grocery and retail stores, restaurants and hotels; Mariners, Huskies and Seahawks game tickets; customized union jackets, hats, bags, cups, cruises, personal services, etc. all make terrific raffle gifts. All proceeds go to the Catholic Seafarer’s Club to help them continue their valuable work.
